{"id":116,"date":"2007-07-09T20:07:11","date_gmt":"2007-07-10T03:07:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.crapmonkey.com\/archives\/116"},"modified":"2007-07-09T20:07:11","modified_gmt":"2007-07-10T03:07:11","slug":"shameless-self-promotion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.crapmonkey.com\/podcast\/?p=116","title":{"rendered":"Shameless Self Promotion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Beer Stein\" alt=\"Beer Stein\" src=\"http:\/\/crapmonkey.com\/wp-content\/images\/beerstein.jpg\" align=\"left\" \/>I&#8217;m probably stooping to new lows right now, but I wanted to quickly do some shameless self promotions, as well as some not-so-shameless\u00a0 promotions of others.\u00a0 First of all, I&#8217;m excited to introduce a new feature to the CrapMonkey Website: <a title=\"Crapmonkey Store\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cafepress.com\/crapmonkeystore\" target=\"_blank\">The CrapMonkey Store<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0 That&#8217;s right, you can finally get <a title=\"CrapMonkey\" href=\"http:\/\/www.crapmonkey.com\" target=\"_blank\">CrapMonkey<\/a> swag so that you can impress your friends with your awesome listening tastes.\u00a0 Keep your eye on the store as I hope to update merchandise frequently.\u00a0\u00a0 Additionally, the <a title=\"Podcast Awards\" href=\"http:\/\/www.podcastawards.com\" target=\"_blank\">Podcast Awards<\/a> are\u00a0seven days away from wrapping up the nominations.\u00a0 Please get out to the <a title=\"Podcast Awards\" href=\"http:\/\/www.podcastawards.com\" target=\"_blank\">Podcast Awards site<\/a> and nominate the CrapMonkey for a People&#8217;s Choice Award.\u00a0 I&#8217;m guessing the &#8220;general&#8221; category is the closest thing going for this show but it&#8217;s your call of course.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Okay, onto the less shameful promotions.\u00a0 If you are\u00a0 a technology geek, forward thinker or entrepreneur; you are not going to want to miss <a title=\"Gnomedex\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gnomedex.com\/2007\/\" target=\"_blank\">Gnomedex<\/a>\u00a0as it is, hands down, the leading technology conference.\u00a0 We are less than one month out, so get registered asap.\u00a0 Likewise, if you are headed out to Seattle for the event, shoot me an email and we&#8217;ll hook up for a beer at one of <a title=\"Seattle Breweries\" href=\"http:\/\/www.allaboutbeer2.com\/brewpubs\/nav_links2.cgi\" target=\"_blank\">Seattle&#8217;s many fine breweries<\/a>.\u00a0 Finally, I wanted to make a quick case for the <a title=\"Podcast Expo\" href=\"http:\/\/www.newmediaexpo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Podcast and New Media Expo<\/a> in Ontario, California\u00a0in September.\u00a0 Hotel rooms are already becoming scarce, so if you are interested in going, you better hop to it.\u00a0 It&#8217;s the home of the <a title=\"Podcast Expo\" href=\"http:\/\/www.newmediaexpo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Podcast People&#8217;s Choice Podcast Awards<\/a> and a great place to get to know your favorite podcasters better.\u00a0 Well, that&#8217;s all I&#8217;ve got for now &#8211;
