In one form, product activation refers to a method patented by Uniloc where a software application hashes hardware serial numbers and an ID number specific to the product's license a product key to generate a unique installation ID. Sunday, June 18th 2006:

The CrapMonkey does the Metal Jesus Wedding in Las Vegas. We flew into Vegas Friday morning and went out for Jason’s (Metal Jesus) bachelor Party in the evening.? We started out at a punk bar called the Double Down and then rolled on to the Crazy Horse Too. Of course, we were recording as we rolled. Photos will be on Flickr before too long.
