Good point pooper. Honestly, I haven't used Open Office in a while so I'm not up to speed enough to give it a proper review. I have heard that compatibility issues are less frequent and that the software is pretty light to run. I must admit though, I am a OneNote addict. I couldn't live without it. One Care is also a cool addition if you don't already have virus software. Admittedly, the Live sweet is pretty much free online anyway, so not much extra benefit there. As for the value of continued updates and upgrades? Time will tell what value that brings as it will depend on the value and frequency of on-boarded features.

This is an interesting idea...but honestly why not just use the free Open Office which is a great tool and costs NOTHING? We have used it almost exclusively for the last 2 years at my work and rarely run into compatibility problems.
